I design that pattern again and again, I don't want that pattern looks like just copy from traditional pattern.

This pattern is the final design, it is have a lot of modern elamants inside this pattern.

I use the lucky cloud pattern from olympic torch and put on the ring.

After I made this sample I fill the pattern not fit on the ring, it's very flat, it doesn't come out.

Gate of forbidden city

I melting the 18k yellow wire to the ball, look like decoration of the forbbiden city's gate. And inside of the ring it can spin.

Above pictures are the finished piece of the toothpicks and wood ring. Toothpick made by bamboo, The bamboo and wood both are the ancient material in china. I want to discribe Chinese philosophy artistic conception--"squre earth around heaven" in my jewellery.

This ring I want to use three different materals make it, silver wood and bamboo, I use c&c cut the wax mould, when we use c&c to cut this piece it's give us a lot of trouble, after six times finaly I get the perfect piece.

2008 Olympiad wood ring

This year is Beijing Olympic Games, Beijing is my hometown, Chinese people built a lot of new stadiums for this great games. "Birdnest" stadium is my favorite architecture. So I call these two rings-- My 2008.
The inspiration of the ring get from the "Birdnest" stadium. I like the pattern on this architecture. I added new silver layer with the pattern on the normal wood ring.
When I finish these two rings, I found a lot of deficiencies, the pattern is too flat. Due to the whole stadium structure is very three-dimensional. So I still need to improve my design more three-dimensional, to display the graceful of whole architecture.

Purple Heart A spiritual wood, purpleheart is excellent for use in divination magic. It also enhances energy dealing with creativity and knowledge.

Wood Ring -- Wedding band

Rose wood and Tambouti wood wedding band -- both of these two wood has beautiful pattern. This time I attempt to pierced inner split ring.
When you saw "only you" inside of the ring, you know who will get it.

Background:

Ebony is one of the hard wood. It is natural waterproof, always be used in valuable furniture or decoration in China. In weatern culture, Ebony wood is protective and so is used in making amulets.

Wood Ring

Wood-- It is a nature material.
It was used in architecture and furniture comprehensive in China. I like to put this traditional element into my jewellery.
When I start to touching the wood, I can not stop, because it give me a lot of surprise -- different colour, pattern that I always want it.
